EVENT DESCRIPTION
Actor/Producer Luis Avilez (Pam and Tommy 2021,How to Get Away With Murder 2019, General Hospital 2022, Her 2020, Amateur Hitman 2018) is hosting the 4th annual Hispanic Film Festival along with Zeliva Pictures production company (Her 2020, Addicted 2017, Amateur Hitman 2018, Captured 2018, Leaving 2017, Morning Routine 2017).
Festival winners will be announced on January 30th, 2023 on our website.
Luis Avilez will review every film himself and select the winners for each category.
Winners of the Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Writer and Best Editor will have a chance to work with Luis Avilez and Zeliva Pictures production company on their next production.
ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST CONTAIN AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
-Film must have been Produced by a latino/latina
-Film must have been Directed by a latino/latina
-Film must have at least one lead actor being latino/latina
If your film does not contain at least ONE of the three please DO NOT SUBMIT, your film will be disqualified.
If you do not meet the above criteria, please submit on our "Other (non hispanic/latinx submissions)" section. You will be eligible for most awards except Best Festival Short.

AWARDS AND PRIZES
BEST FESTIVAL FEATURE FILM & BEST FESTIVAL SHORT FILM
1. The Best Festival Feature Film and Best Festival Short Film will be eligible to have their short film listed on Amazon Prime by Zeliva Pictures production company (Student Films, Music Video are NOT eligible for this).
Winner may deny this offer.

2. Winner of the BEST FESTIVAL FEATURE FILM will also receive a $250 cash prize and the BEST FESTIVAL SHORT FILM will receive $150

OFFICIAL SELECTIONS:
Official Selections will be provided laurels and posted on https://www.zelivapictures.com/official-selections.
RULES/TERMS:
-All films/music videos must have been created after 2014
-All projects must be original, no adaptations of any existing copyrighted work
-All films/music videos must be in ENGLISH
-A submission does not automatically guarantee your acceptance. You will be emailed a confirmation.
SUBMISSIONS:
-All submissions must be submitted in a minimum of 1080P
-Feature films must be between 31 - 120 minutes (anything below 31:00 minutes and above 120:00 minutes will be disqualified)
-Short films must be between 2 - 30 minutes (anything below 2:00 minutes and above 30:00 minutes will be disqualified)
-Music videos must be between 1 to 8 minutes (anything below 1:00 minutes and above 8:00 minutes will be disqualified)
-We do accept "work in progress" but the final film must be completed by the extended deadline.
PRESS MATERIALS:
Poster, director photo and a minimum of 3 stills are required. Please do your best to provide a trailer. The trailer is not required but is definitely useful.
AGE RESTRICTION:
Anyone submitting must be at least 14 years old. If you are between 14-17 years old you must include your parent/guardians contact info (Name, Phone Number, Email)
STUDENT SUBMISSIONS:
Student Submissions will be listed as "STUDENT FILM" on any social media, website post and/or press. Student submissions ARE eligible for the Best Overall Short Film Award but are NOT eligible to have their film listed on Amazon Prime.
Not all categories will have a winner.
